Running For Hamlin

In this image, our principal physio Ange is undertaking the half marathon at Blackmore’s Sydney Running Festival (2019). You can see she’s holding a photo – it’s a picture of Catherine Hamlin, the founder of Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia, surrounded by the women she has devoted her life to helping. She is on a mission to eradicate obstetric fistula, “an internal injury caused by an obstructed childbirth, which leaves them incontinent, humiliated and cut off from their communities” (hamlin.org.au)

Fistula can be treated with a single surgery, but fundraising is essential to make it happen. In this article, learn more about our relationship with Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia and why this organisation is so close to our hearts. If you’d like to donate to help this cause, please visit everydayhero.com.au.
