Endometriosis & Pelvic Pain

with Dr Angela James FACP

Developed and taught by a Specialist Pelvic Health Physiotherapist, this course supports clinicians to confidently assess and manage endometriosis and pelvic pain using a practical, whole-person approach.

Description

Are you ready to move beyond a purely biomedical approach and confidently manage complex endometriosis-associated pain?

This course equips pelvic health physiotherapists with an advanced, evidence-based framework to assess and treat endometriosis and persistent pelvic pain. Grounded in a biopsychosocial model, you will learn how to identify the key drivers of pain—including local, regional and central factors—and apply a structured clinical reasoning approach to guide treatment.

Through a clear and practical framework, you will develop the skills to:

  • Differentiate pain types and understand their clinical implications
  • Assess the full impact of endometriosis across body systems and function
  • Integrate pelvic health, musculoskeletal, and nervous system approaches
  • Apply trauma-informed, person-centred care
  • Develop tailored, multimodal management plans within a multidisciplinary context

With a strong emphasis on translation to practice, this course bridges the gap between evidence and clinical application—giving you the confidence to manage complex presentations and achieve meaningful outcomes for your patients.
