Louise completed a Bachelor Degree in Human Movement and a Masters Degree in Education with a Major in Social Welfare at the University of Sydney. Whilst studying, Louise worked as a fitness instructor and massage therapist in gyms around the Eastern Suburbs. She continued working in the fitness industry whilst teaching as a PDHPE teacher and eventually took 2 years out of teaching to work full time in the fitness industry.
After returning to teach, Louise focused on Student Wellbeing as a Head Teacher. Following her passion for improving hers and others wellbeing, she began a regular Yoga and meditation practice to help support her own physical, emotional and mental wellbeing. Eventually deciding to undertake Teen Yoga teacher training to share the benefits of yoga with her students. This inspired her to complete her Yoga Teacher Training and Advanced, Yin and Restorative Yoga Teacher Trainings at Sukha Mukha Yoga Studio in Bronte.
Louise combines a variety of methodologies, drawing on her extensive movement training and Yoga training to provide classes that cater for each student’s own physical, emotional and mental needs. Louise is an advocate for self-care and so includes relaxation, meditation and mindfulness practices in her classes. She strongly believes in the power of the body/mind connection to help manage the daily stresses and challenges of life and is passionate about providing a safe class environment where participants have access to useful practices to support their own journey to wellness and balance.
In her spare time Louise loves to be outdoors, walking, swimming in the ocean (warmer months only!) gardening and tango dancing and reading and yoga!
