Description

This 90 minute evidence-based educational seminar will focus on the influential role of the nervous system in chronic/persistent pelvic pain. Neuroscience education underpins successful management of chronic/persistent pelvic pain as research has shown the critical importance of understanding this aspect of your pain experience. You will learn more about the unique qualities of the pelvis and why its susceptible to chronic/persistent pain, the difference between acute and chronic pain, the up-regulated nervous system and its impact on persistent pain, and the importance of down-regulating your nervous system.

You will also learn effective self-management strategies to implement to better manage your nervous system and position yourself in the “treatment zone.” This seminar is suitable for men and women suffering with chronic/persistent pelvic pain and a support person (complimentary).
