PELVIC & GENERAL PHYSIO

From pelvic pain and dysfunction, to injuries and general body aches – the experienced physiotherapists at SPC will assess your pelvic and overall health, and work with you to treat the condition. We can help you reduce pain, and improve your posture and pelvic function; to help you feel good in your body and get back to doing all the things you love!

WHOLE BODY EXERCISE PROGRAMS

Exercise is a normal part of any physio treatment plan, and is especially beneficial for people experiencing changes in hormone levels that lead to bone issues and a redistribution of body mass. We recommend exercise programs based on your needs, which is the safest way to ensure a successful recovery from injury, pain or gender affirming surgery. Sydney Pelvic Clinic has a range of exercise programs, including rehabilitation, pelvic floor strengthening, yoga, and core classes – open to all people.

MASSAGE

Massage can be a deeply personal treatment. That’s why our qualified Massage Therapists will discuss your needs to ensure that you receive the massage that is right for you. Sydney Pelvic Clinic provides massage services for transgender and non-binary people. Choose from relaxation massage, remedial or sports massage, and pregnancy massages.

CONDITIONS WE TREAT

Our qualified physios and health professionals can help diagnose, treat and manage a wide range of health conditions, including those specific to the LGBTIQ+ community.

BINDING SIDE EFFECTS

Side effects of binding can include back pain, chest pain, poor posture, shoulder pain, numbness, and changes to the body’s natural movement patterns. It’s never too early or late to get help from a trained physio who works with LGBTIQ+ people to reduce pain, and optimise their movement and overall wellbeing.

TUCKING SIDE EFFECTS

Tucking of the penis can have side effects such as urinary trauma, UTIs, testicular pain and pelvic pain. Plus, changes to walking patterns can lead to leg muscle tension and referred pain in other parts of the body. It’s never too early or late to get help from a trained pelvic physio who works with people of all genders and life stages, to optimise their movement, wellbeing and pelvic health.

PREPARATION AND RECOVERY FROM TOP SURGERY

A mastectomy can result in scar tissue build up, back pain from changes in posture, and other chest pain from breathing into the affected area. While your doctor will give you some rehab instructions, you can optimise your recovery experience by seeing a trained top surgery physiotherapist, who will help you reduce scar tissue and return to full mobility.

PREPARATION AND RECOVERY FROM GENDER AFFIRMING SURGERIES

Surgeons often recommend pelvic physiotherapy as part of their pre and post surgery care. If you’re serious about improving your overall quality of life, it’s important to find a pelvic physio who is trained to treat people undergoing gender affirming surgeries. Our experienced team will discuss how we can optimise your recovery journey, and treat you with respect and care.
