Felicity de Blic

Felicity completed her physiotherapy degree at the University of Sydney, and went on to complete a Graduate Diploma of Psychological Studies at the University of Queensland. She has a special interest in how stress and psychological health impact physical health, and equally how exercise and relaxation practices can improve mental and emotional wellbeing.

Upon relocating to Paris for four years in 2010, Felicity put physiotherapy on hold and taught yoga and mindfulness while studying psychology. Having completed her teacher training in Purna Yoga with the Byron Yoga Centre in 2008, she completed then lectured on the Yoga Therapy for Mental Health Professional Training Program for The Minded Institute in London. Upon her return to Australia she trained in Richard Miller’s Integrative Restoration Yoga Nidra (iRest), which has deeply informed her practice and teaching. She has also trained in Pilates with Dance Medicine Australia.

Felicity offers mindful movement, breath, mindfulness and deep relaxation practices to compliment physio treatment for clients wishing to explore more directly the role stress and tension may be playing in their symptoms, as well as clients with primary mental health concerns interested in a body-based approach. She is experienced in working with clients with complex pain, pelvic pain, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, insomnia and chronic fatigue syndrome, and practices in a trauma-sensitive framework to help each patient feel safe and empowered throughout their treatment journey.

Being a mum to three little people, Felicity is passionate about applying her knowledge of physical and mental health to support women’s wellbeing during pregnancy, childbirth and motherhood. She offers Physio Yoga Birth preparation sessions to help mums-to-be prepare for birth, however it may unfold, with movement, breathing and deep relaxation practices.

Felicity has brought together her skills from the worlds of physiotherapy, yoga, meditation, and psychology to create specific Physio Restore Workshops tailored to suit the needs of SPC clients.

In her spare time, Felicity loves swimming, kayaking, yoga and meditation, practicing her French and picnics in the park with her family (with a good take away coffee in hand).
