Advanced Pelvic Floor Assessment Workshop 2019

Translating research into clinical practise

Sydney Pelvic Clinic proudly hosted Associate Prof Clara Shek for a unique workshop on Saturday 23rd February from 12PM – 5:30PM at our Bondi Junction clinic. This was a not-for-profit event with all profits going to the Australasian Birth Trauma Association.

This workshop included:

1. Lecture:

a. Associate Prof Clara Shek – prolapse and birth trauma
b. Associate Prof Clara Shek – urinary incontinence, slings and meshes
c. Associate Prof Clara Shek – clinical use of pessaries
d. Angela James – clinical skills for pelvic organ prolapse assessment (modified POP-Q), levator avulsion assessment and genital hiatus (gh) + perineal body (pb) measurement.

2. Practical:

a. Clinical assessment of POP, levator avulsion and gh + pb measures
b. 3/4D ultrasound assessment of POP, levator avulsion and hiatal area measurements

A video was made of the lecture component of this workshop and is available for viewing for $55 inc. GST, with all profits going to the Australasian Birth Trauma Association. This includes:

b) Within 3 business days of your submission, we will email you & notify whether your application was successful or not.
c) Successful applicants will be provided with payment options to secure their place.
d) Positions are not secure until payment is received.
e) Please pay within 3 business days or your spot may be given to another applicant.
f) One participant per booking.
g) If your application to attend the event is unsuccessful, remember there is also the option to watch the video of the event.

c) After your payment is processed, we will provide you with a link to watch the workshop online.
d) Please note, the video option is to access & view only – the video is not being distributed and can not be downloaded.

2) Payment options
Payment options include direct debit or credit card over the phone.

3) Pre-Reading
Pre-reading for the course:Information will be sent out prior to the event

6) Cancellation Policy
a) If participant cancels before January 23 2019 – 100% refund less $30 admin fee charged
b) If participant cancels between January 24 2019 and February 6 2019 – 50% refund
c) If participant cancels between February 7 2019 and February 23 2019 – no refund

7) Transfer Policy
a) Transfer requests can be made up to 48 hours prior to the event.
b) All event attendees must meet the attendance criteria
c) A transfer fee of $30 will be incurred.
